Free at last.
Two sisters sat for over 16 years in a Mississippi prison, jailed for abetting an $11 robbery. Now they are freed. Mississippi's governor, Haley Barbour, suspended their sentences.
This blog was for 1961 Mississippi Freedom Riders who gathered to ask for further help in obtaining their release.
And now we are once again asking for help. Jamie and Gladys need full pardons, not suspended sentences. We are asking Haley Barbour to make complete their freedom. Will you join us?
